Lymph and Your Health
What’s lymph and how does it affect our health? The lymph or the lymphatic system represents a complex and complicated route within the body whereby the lymphatic vessels can flow between blood cells and pull out excess fluids and poisons trapped between the cells.
In short, the lymphatic system acts as a vital purification system in the body, nourishing the tissue cells and returning the waste matter to the bloodstream in an absolutely essential function.
The lymph nodes in the lymphatic system act as filters, trapping and removing any foreign matter, but also forming lymphocytes, immune cells that seek out and destroy specific foreign agents. These immune cells commonly referred to, as ‘white blood cells’ are located in the lymphatic systems. The speed in which they defend the body depends on the speed of our lymph flow activation.
So, how is the lymphatic system activated? The lymphatic system does not have a pump function, therefore, it is dependent on body movement. Deep breathing, bouncing and body movement activates the system. When there’s movement, the lymph nodes are able to trap and remove toxins in an efficient manner.
Have you ever noticed a small “ball-like” lump on your neck or shoulder blade area when you are down with a fever or a sore throat? Well, that’s where our lymph node is, inflamed due to the infection of bacteria and inactivity. When there’s no movement, there’s no filtering.
So, how do we keep the lymph in tiptop condition? Simple, we constantly need to be on the ‘‘move”, so to say. But how can we busy people find so much time? Most of us go off early to work, to beat the jam, and return home late to a number of household chores.
The answer is easy: 10 minutes of rebounding a day will resuscitate your lymph back to tiptop health. 20 minutes rebounding is as good as running 3 ½ miles, thereby giving your lymph the much-needed boost to remove toxins from the blood cell.
The gentle up-and-down movement on the rebounder activates to the maximum the one-way valves that control the lymph flow. This, in turn, propels the lymph fluids up through the body. Thus, good lymph flow will lead to good health and bad flow, bad health!
Our lymphatic and blood systems also need pure water to assist them in their functions, providing a clean and natural environment. Drinking distilled water will provide the best solution because distilled water is the purest water we can ever have.
Another plus point for distilled water is its ability to work as a magnet, drawing out unwanted minerals. It can pick up rejected and discarded minerals and with the assistance of the blood and lymphatic system, transport them to the kidney for elimination.
It is wrong to believe that distilled water will draw out essential minerals from the body, for it only takes away what is already discarded by the body and removing the debris that is obstructing the normal functions of the body.
Another way to help the lymphatic system is by removing the toxins that are deposited in the skin, where most acid wastes accumulate. Cellande Hand, Face and Body Scrub contains Lavender essential oil, which can remove dead skin cells, uric acid and all other acid waste effectively.
