Recipes Using NewLife Extra Virgin Coconut Oil

Nasi Pudina Berangin

Ingredients

  • one cup cooked rice
  • 1 piece of green chili (use Alpha Juicer mincing mode)
  • 2 tablespoons mint leaves (use Alpha Juicer mincing mode)
  • 2 tablespoons NewLife™ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • a pinch of salt (optional)

Method

  • Mix all of the above with the rice and stir gently.
  • Serve on banana leaves.

CNY Yee Sang

Ingredients

  • one cup lettuce
  • Japanese zucchini
  • carrot
  • yellow plum
  • red plum
  • pink jambu
  • prunes
  • mangoes (cut all the above ingredients into strips; you may use any fruits and vegetables of your choice but make it colourful)
  • 3 tablespoons pickled ginger

Arrange all of the above on a platter in a bright array of colours.

For tossing

  • 1 small pack cornflake
  • 3 tablespoons toasted sesame seeds
  • 5 tablespoons minced groundnuts (Alpha Juicer mincing mode)
  • 8 tablespoons NewLife™ Raw Honey
  • 4 tablespoons NewLife™ Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons NewLife™ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  • salmon fish
  • one pink grapefruit (peeled)

Arrange all the above on a plate

Sayur Masak Pedas

Ingredients 1

  • ½ cup chilies
  • 1 big onion
  • 2 pips garlic
  • ½ thumb-size turmeric
  • Blend the above ingredients
  • 2 pieces lemongrass (bruised)

Ingredients 2

  • 6 slices brinjal
  • ¼ piece cabbage
  • 2 red tomatoes quartered
  • 1 small tofu quartered
  • 1 potato quartered
  • (you may use any vegetables of your choice)

Ingredients 3

  • 15 tablespoons NewLife™ Apple Cider Vinegar
  • 1 cup distilled water
  • 1 teaspoon NewLife™ Nutritional Yeast sugar and salt to taste

Method

  1. Stir-fry Ingredients #1, in 5 tablespoons NewLife™ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil
  2. When fragrant, add in Ingredients #2. Stir fry for a while
  3. Add in Ingredients #3
  4. Cook until the potatoes are soft
  5. Serve with nasi pudina berangin

Fruittie Watercress

Ingredients

1 bundle of watercress (remove stem). To soften the watercress, soak the vegetables with 1 cup of honegar (½ teaspoons Raw Honey and 3 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar in a glass of water) and refrigerate for half an hour. ½ cup diced mixed fruits assortment, e.g. strawberries, oranges, cranberries, or peaches.

Method

Arrange the fruits neatly around the watercress. Add in 2 tablespoons NewLife™ Extra Virgin Coconut Oil before serving.
