CURED From CANCER

By Dr. Lynn Tan with Lisa Ng

Life Expectancy: Months

Condition : Deteriorating

Towards the end of November 1997, Lisa Ng was put under hospice care and the report of the doctor to the hospice read as above. Her doctor told her that she had no chance to survive and gave her 6 months to live. Today Lisa, who is supposed to be dead, yet lives to tell her story…

July 1997 -The Discovery

Lisa Ng, 39, a corporate communications manager, went for an x-ray because of a persistent cough. She was shocked to discover that there was a huge lump in her chest measuring 6 cm by 8.5 cm. The doctor didn’t think it was malignant; nothing malignant could grow so big without causing any trouble, he thought.

August 12, 1997 -The Operation

The doctors operated on Lisa for four hours at the Singapore General Hospital.
“They cut open my chest, like for open-heart surgery” she said. Then came the bad news. The lump was malignant after all. I was told that I had lymphoma (cancer of the lymph) and I needed treatment. I took the news very calmly. The peace of God that surpasses all human understanding was with me. Otherwise, I would have cried buckets for endless days. I thank God that His peace was with me and stayed with me to this day.

August 21, 1997-Chemotherapy

I was told that I needed a course of chemotherapy followed by one month of radiotherapy. I have very small veins and they could not inject me because they could not find the veins. They had to put the needle and tube in my foot. It took about twenty minutes for the medicine to get in. Chemotherapy was to be given to me for twelve weeks, once a week, but I never did get to complete the course nor the radiotherapy.

Lisa threw up phlegm and burped a lot. She lost her hair. Her friends started to call her “Sunshine Head”, rubbed her head, and even bought her a wig which she wore frequently in the beginning. It was because of her light-hearted attitude that even her children took her hair loss lightly. “They helped me pick up my hair and laughed over their ‘botak head’ mummy,” she said.

She also lost weight. She went down from 51 kg to about 40 kg. A month later, Lisa quit her job. “My treatment was taking up a lot of my time. After my fifth session that was in mid October, they found the cancer had spread to my spine, affecting both my legs. My left leg was numb and my right couldn’t make walking movements. I was hospitalised again.”

A whole battery of tests was done on her, including a brain scan. “The doctor told me I needed more chemo, in fact, much stronger chemo. I was put under the CHAD Programme.”

October 20,1997 – CHAD

Doctors decided to put Lisa on the CHAD Programme because the Chemo Macob-B Programme, which she was receiving before, was not effective in her case. This was the doctor’s plan : four – I was to have four CHADs at three weekly intervals and hopefully the cancer would go into remission. Then my bone marrow would be extracted and cultured. When they had a sufficient amount. I would be given the ultimate chemo (which I discovered, at a much later date, would completely kill all my cells and destroy my immune system), after which my cultured bone marrow would be put back.

The doctor said that the chance of survival after this procedure was 10%. Each CHAD session last 3-4 days. But I never had the chance to get to that stage either. After the second CHAD, I nearly lost my life. Chemo was slowly dripped into my body on a Sunday and by the following Thursday, I had breathing difficulties. On Friday, it got worst. The ward oncologist told my husband that things didn’t look good and my condition was serious.

November 15,1997 – Near Death

On Saturday, a chest x-ray was taken and it was discovered that my heart and lungs were swollen. I could no longer sit up on the bed without assistance and lapsed into a semiconscious state. My husband was given the impression that I was likely to either kick the bucket or lapse into a coma.

Recalling the horrible Saturday, her husband, Mr. Eric Ng said, “The CHAD affected the kidneys. They had to keep pumping water into her. She was very breathless and had no energy and could only say ‘yes’ and ‘no’…The doctor told me to prepare for the worst. I thought she was very close to her death.

Mr. Ng, 37, took their two daughters, Michelle and Rachel, 10 and 7, to see their mummy. Relatives and close friends were called in to see me alive for the last time. However, they did more than just that. They prayed earnestly and most earnestly of all, my dedicated husband who continued to believe that God would deliver me yet. My church pastor Rev. Daniel Lee came and read for me from the Bible, sang hymns and prayed for my deliverance. He also started a 24-hour prayer chain.

The next morning, I woke up hungry. I asked my husband to go and get the food from the nurses. My ward doctor came and, lo and behold, there I was sitting on the bed, my usual chirpy self. She was surprised to see me alive. She had been so sure I was on my deathbed only the night before.

My husband and I knew all along that there was an alternative therapy to the conventional methods of treating cancer. Initially, we did not have the conviction to go into this organic food programme; thus, we accepted chemotherapy as the standard treatment. After the first CHAD, it was obvious to me that my body had gone disarray. Even my usual booming voice had become weak and hoarse. We started to seek God earnestly for His plan for us. We asked Him specifically about trying this organic food programme. My husband read from the book of Daniel in which Daniel rejected the king’s food and wanted only vegetables and water. We realised that Gerson Therapy is very much in line with the diet that Daniel wanted to follow. My husband knew immediately that God was telling us to go ahead with this therapy. We went full-steam! We never looked back to doubt if we had made the wrong choice.

On the 25th of November, I was discharged with a warning from my oncologist that if I did not continue with the chemo programme, I would have 0% chance of survival. I went home with malfunctioning kidneys, a catheter for urine because of bad kidneys, shaky hands, and breathing difficulties. I was not able to sit for long on the bed and still could not walk. It took two people to lift me up from the bed and accompany me to the bathroom.

I was put under hospice care and the report to the hospice indicated that my ‘condition was deteriorating’ and my “life expectancy was only months.” The beginning of December 1997, I started the Gerson Therapy. I was very weak and could only manage to drink 8 to 9 glasses of juice and receive 3 coffee enemas daily along with supplements suggested in the Gerson Therapy. For breakfast, I ate baby oat porridge and a bowl of Hippocrates soup. For both lunch and dinner, I ate 2 potatoes and some salad. My husband took leave for a few weeks to assist me and my mother-in-law also came to help me, working together with the maid. Everyone was so supportive and encouraging. None of the relatives and friends who came and visited me gave any negative comments on the therapy I was doing. Whenever doubts and fear about getting well attacked me, there were always friends available to pray for me.

Healing reactions? They came in January 1998, when I experienced 2 weeks of diarrhoea about 15 times a day. Throughout the therapy, I often felt warm with a cold sweat. This sensation came every 2 to 3 weeks or so and then went away by itself after few days of manifestations.

Slowly, I started to regain my strength. By the middle of 1998, I was able to walk with both legs. By August, I was fit enough to go out. December 1998, I could start to do all the cooking myself.

I still go back to my doctor to monitor the progress of my healing. She told me that lymphoma is indicated by the LDH count from the blood test.

The normal LDH readings for a healthy person are between 180 and 380. My various blood tests showed the following LDH counts:

Starting from the middle of 1999, which was 1 ½ years after following, the natural cancer therapy (and that was also about 1 year after the blood reports showed that I no longer had lymphoma), I started to relax on my meals. I would eat “outside” food when invited out. I still do not eat meat, except some fish. However, if the food is too salty for me, I do not take it. At home I still take 6 glasses of juice, 2 coffee enemas, Hippocrates Soup twice a day, together with meals of rice, vegetables and a bit of fish. I also still try to keep up with the supplements, organic foods, and a high potassium-low sodium diet.

I was given no chance to survive; but God, in His mercy, gave me a 100% survival rate. All praise and glory to the Lord God Almighty, the loving Father, and the God of Miracles.

Success Rate of Gerson Therapy

By Dr Lynn Tan, N.D. –

Not only is a human being made of a physical body, but also he is formed of spirit and soul. Cancer represents the extreme state of disorder in his body; a holistic approach is needed to treat this disease. The Gerson Therapy is such an approach. It detoxifies, kills cancer cells, and rebuilds healthy cells. The following factors contribute greatly to the healing of cancer:

  1. A strong faith in God.
  2. A cheerful and positive attitude.
  3. A grateful spirit.
  4. Determination to follow the therapy regardless of discouragement.
  5. Supportive families and friends.
  6. An effort to keep all sources of toxins away.

From the many healing testimonies I have come across, I find that all those who are cancer survivors and have undergone the Gerson Therapy for cancer possess almost all the above factors. Lisa Ng well illustrates the above mentioned factors in her fight against cancer. She has strong faith in God. Her attitude is positive and cheerful. She exemplifies a grateful spirit. I couldn’t help but to adore her the moment I met her. She had been strong and determined in following the programme even though sometimes she faced healing reactions which triggered doubts and fears. Her family, relatives, and friends were supportive which made it so much easier for her to go through the programme.

It is difficult to gauge the success rate of Gerson Therapy because so many other factors are involved. Many failed in the therapy because they either compromised on the food, or had an angry, unforgiving spirit, or were easily swayed by whatever suggestions came along. Some people would just give up for lack of family support.

One point I must make clear is that the Gerson Therapy is not a miracle cure. In cases where the bodies are too ravaged by the disease and where the liver is beyond repair, Gerson Therapy will not be able to help. However, in other cases where all the above factors are present, the Gerson Therapy has proven to be effective in cancer healing.
