Cancer is Not a Death Sentence
Discovery and Prognosis
On 8 August 2007, my lab report confirmed malignant tumours. Given the invasive nature of the grade 3 tumour, my surgeon suggested that I go through 6 cycles of chemotherapy. 1 year of herceptin treatment, 5 years of hormonal treatment and 6 weeks of radiotherapy.
Choosing the Narrow Way
I felt compelled to do my own research and began to learn more about natural healing, though it is much harder to follow. As I read and prayed, I was convicted that natural healing path would bring about a stronger and healthier body compared with conventional treatment that seeks to destroy both the cancer and the body at the same time.
The Journey of Joy and Hope
I started one week of Detoxification & Rejuvenation Programme (DRP), followed by the Intensive Wellness Programme, both designed by Dr. Lynn Tan, a Gerson Trained Health Professional who has 13 years of experience in providing nutritional guides to cancer patients. I took 13 glasses of freshly pressed organic juices and 5 coffee enemas daily, with castor oil enemas on alternate days. My meals consisted of rolled oats for breakfast, Hippocrates Soup, salad and potato for lunch and dinner.
I didn’t experience very severe healing reactions. Most of the time, I was up and running like normal. Visitors were surprised to see my high energy level, and my healthy, cheerful demeanor.
Instead of focusing on how hard it was to do this for 18-24 months, I learned to live one day at a time. I was grateful that I had an alternative option that allowed me so much ‘up-time’ with my family. I could just imagine the amount of ‘down-times’ that I could potentially face in conventional treatment.
I set out to do quarterly cancer marker blood tests, followed by a visit to my surgeon for his review and ultra sound. After two months on Dr. Lynn’s Health Programmes, my cancer-marker tests for liver, pancreas, GI and breast showed healthy normal readings.
Seven months into the Programmes, my 2nd quarterly blood tests and ultrasound again showed healthy normal results. In fact, my doctor was surprised that instead of being malnourished (due to the strict diet restrictions); my nutrition profile was very good. I also felt my immunity strengthened as I was not affected when people around me were down with cold or flu.
If anyone is facing this inconvenient and untimely giant called “cancer”, I want to encourage you that if you choose to, you too can overcome and not let this giant gain the final victory in your life. Do not act out of fear as you make your decisions. Cancer is not a death sentence, so take charge.
To God, my Lord and Savior, be all Glory and Praise, for He is WORTHY!
