Our body has an immune system that protects it from disease and infection by ensuring that harmful substances are cleared from the body while the good necessary tissues and organs are left alone. However, sometimes this intricate system breaks down and starts to attack the body’s own cells and tissues as if they are foreign substances. This causes pathological damage.
If we suffer from an autoimmune condition, it means that part of our immune system is worn out. There are more than 80 types of autoimmune diseases. However, all autoimmune diseases have similar, underlying causes and conditions. Common symptoms of autoimmune diseases are: fatigue, sleep disturbance, short-term memory loss, depression, low thyroid function, gastrointestinal problems, swollen glands, chemical sensitivity, headaches, pain and fibromyalgia, low blood sugar, low blood pressure. Candida yeast infections, rheumatoid arthritis. Sjogren’s syndrome. SLE (Lupus), and many more.
Why does a worn-out immune system attack its own body? There are two general immune system issues in any autoimmune disease:
- An over-activated, out of balance immune system that attacks its own body cells, and
- Poor cellular communication due to a lack of cell markers on the cell walls.
An over-activated and/or out of balance immune system is often caused by stress, exposure to toxins and nutritional deficiency. Stress produces cortisol, a hormone that increases blood pressure and blood sugar levels. Worst of all. it over-activates the immune system by stimulating the production of Th-2 cells. This overproduction of Th-2 cells throws the equation between Th-1 cells and Th-2 cells off balance, causing the immune cells to attack one another and develop serious problems. In a healthy immune system. Th-1 cells (which fight pathogens like viruses, mycoplasma and bacteria that are inside the cells) and Th-2 cells (which fight pathogens outside the cells) function together, supporting each other in keeping the body healthy.
Exposure to toxins wears out the immune system. This may also cause an over-activation of Th-2 cells.
At this point, one should seriously consider a comprehensive detoxification programme as a start to stimulate metabolism, eliminate toxins and restore sluggish waste removal functions of the liver, kidneys and other eliminating organs. Dr. Lynn Tan’s 7-Day Detoxification and Rejuvenation Programme (DRP) is a proven programme in rebuilding healthier cells through its effective detoxification and restoration system.
Toxins can come from food, water, environment, poor digestion, leaky gut syndrome, drugs and medicines like mercury in vaccines. Autointoxication (self-poisoning) may also be due to a clogged and unclean colon. Daily use of Herbal Klenz and ImmuFlora will help cleanse the intestines and restore the friendly bacteria into the gastrointestinal tract, thus preventing autointoxication.
Poor cellular communication is due to a lack of cell markers. Any cell that doesn’t have these cell markers will be treated as a foreign substance by the immune system. These unmarked cells will be attacked, causing inflammatory damage and ultimately, organ and joint damage. These are typical symptoms of autoimmune diseases like rheumatoid arthritis. Sjogren’s syndrome. Lupus, asthma, etc.
Essential long chain carbohydrates are the building blocks for making cell markers, and are found in raw fruits and vegetables. Due to inadequate intake of raw fruits and vegetables, our diet is deficient in these carbohydrates, and supplementation is essential. Super Green Food and Spirulina are rich in these essential long chain carbohydrates that mark our cells with the correct identification and provide excellent support for the immune system.
A diet of cooked and processed foods depletes our body’s supply of enzymes. Enzymes are vital to many of our body’s processes and also contribute to the manufacturing of cell markers. The enzymes found in N. Zimes P.A. Plus not only contribute to the manufacturing of cell markers, but also help our body to break down partially digested food, kill pathogens, cleanse the blood, and remove toxins.
While cells are marked, essential fatty acids like Flax Seed Oil are needed as ingredients for building healthy cell membranes, which are a key factor in inter-cell communication.
Autoimmune conditions run much deeper than just a messed up immune system, enzyme deficiency and oxygen-depleted cells and pathogens. They also cause deficiency in Glutathione, which helps the liver to detoxify our body effectively. An increase in Glutathione means an increase in the liver’s efficiency. Coffee enemas, which increase the body’s Glutathione levels by 500 times, are the best way to increase the liver’s detoxification rate.
Our body is a remarkable machine. If we feed our body with adequate nutrients and supplements which help to balance our immune system, our body will be able to start healing and protecting itself.
