Rejuvenation of Your Lymphatic System
Your lymphatic system labours day and night to Keep you clean and well. You should start paying more attention to this unseen circulatory system of yours (the human body has two equally important circulatory systems—a cardiovascular system and the lymphatic system).
Regular detoxification
A regular detoxification, which targets the liver, colon and immune system, will also in turn ease the burden of your kidneys and the lymphatic system. The idea here is, the less waste your lymph has to deal with, the more easily it will flow. In fact, the only way one can rejuvenate an ailing body and bring it back to health is through a comprehensive and complete detoxification program, which stimulates the metabolism, eliminates toxins, and restores sluggish waste removal functions of the liver and kidneys, which can be found in Dr. Lynn Tan’s Detoxification & Rejuvenation Program (DRP).
Our DRP will be able to help you restore your body back to a healthier state. Its aim is to provide plenty of high quality nutrients that rejuvenate the entire cells’ function, improving detoxification and rebuilding one’s suppressed immune system.
Rebounding
Earlier it was mentioned your lymphatic system does not have a pump unlike your cardiovascular system. The lymph is totally dependent on physical movement to flow. Without adequate movement, cells are left drowning in their own pool of waste and starving for nutrients, a situation that contributes to many degenerative diseases as well as aging. Almost anything that can stimulate the movement of lymph fluid is beneficial, but the most efficient way to stimulate the flow of lymph fluid is by REBOUNDING. Rebound exercise is reported to increase lymph flow by 15 to 30 times.
The lymph fluid moves through its channel, which is filled with one-way valves, so the lymph always moves in the same direction. The main lymph vessels run up the legs, up the arms and up the torso, defying gravity. This is why the vertical up-and-down movement of rebounding is so effective to pump the lymph thoroughly as shown in Figure 1.
Rebound exercise is so effective in stimulating lymphatic circulation (and thus helps to increase the immunity and also to overcome pain) that Gerson Therapy recommends rebound exercise 5-6 times daily. 30 seconds at a time.
Maintain a healthy diet
Your body is already having a hard time dealing with environmental pollutants and the very least you can do is to lessen the toxins that your lymph has to deal with. You can start to do so by taking organic, wholesome food.
Constantly feeding your body with the wrong kind of food will severely test and stretch the efficiency of your GALT to its limit. Healthy GALT function is important as it actively separates desirable nutrients from undesirable pathogens, and helps mount a defence whenever needed.
Aid your digestive tract
Constipation, diarrhoea, and other GI issues compromise the lymphatic system’s ability to function properly. If the digestive tract is not working well due to food sensitivities, stress, parasites or indigestion, the flow of lymph will also be backed up or diminished. This often causes flatulence, nausea and toxicity, exacerbating the original GI concerns.
Suffice it to say. healthy GALT function generally inhibits allergic responses and decreases food sensitivity—but this often relies on the status of the intestinal flora and agents involved in digestion—enzymes and acids.
A regular supplementation with NewLife™ ImmuFlora can prevent the proliferation of harmful bacteria while taking N. Zimes P.A. Plus will improve digestion and assimilation of all cooked food that we consume.
Water, plenty of pure, distilled water
Drink plenty of distilled water, which is the purest form you can ever get. Water is essential for life and your body needs hydration to keep the fluids running and renewing, especially your lymph. Imagine a plant that lacks water. It would look dry and wrinkled. Of course you won’t be able to see how your organs and cells look if they lack water, but they also suffer. And don’t forget over ⅔ of your body is made out of water!
Practice deep breathing
Breathing deeply from the diaphragm is one of the ways to move lymph fluid through your body. The expansion and contraction of the diaphragm stimulates your lymphatic system, helping the body rid itself of toxins while leaving more room in the cells for an optimal exchange of oxygen.
Besides, deep breathing helps stabilize the brain and endocrine chemistry, releasing muscle tension and pain, and decreases anxiety.
Sweating is good
Exercises, saunas or steam baths are useful ways to facilitate a healthy sweat, because sweating helps detoxify the body and so supports lymphatic function. Also, avoid chemical-laden antiperspirants and non-natural skin care products as they block sweating while adding to your toxic load. Use only natural skin care products like Annemarie Borlind, which will not clog up your pores but instead, give you a glowing look.
Lately the lymphatic system has been gaining much attention and is widely recognized by doctors for its importance in preventive health care. Understanding lymphatic function supports every other system in the body—the immune system, digestion, detoxification and nervous systems, medical science is beginning to believe that poor lymph health underlies a host of conditions, from cellulitis to cancer.
