What is Coffee Enema
Doing coffee enema is a safe and natural detoxification method. The enema therapy is kind of holistic medicine method that brings benefits to the world of health and medicine.
It is great for the gallbladder and skin beautifying. Coffee enema is believed to quickly detoxify the liver too, because it rapidly empties the colon, enhances the detoxification of the liver and increases the secretion of bile and the toxins that are present in the bile.
Although it seems weird, the ingredients used are very natural. The coffee is harvested in special compounds that are approved by government to be classified as organic. The coffee beans are lightly roasted and crushed into powdery form for boiling. No chemicals, addictives or preservatives are added.
Coffee enema is a way of introducing water containing coffee into the rectum. You need an enema kit to infuse coffee into your body. An enema kit can come in a form of a bag with hose and stringe or a bucket with a tube.
How to do Coffee Enema
Coffee enema is not a complicated procedure as thought by many people. Instructions generally advise those who are willing to try a home coffee enema to attempt to first hold the solution for several minutes. These techniques should be monitored by a physician especially in patients with severely compromised immune systems due to the possibility of provoking an infection.
- Mix 3 heaped tablespoon of Newlife Pure Organic Enema Coffee with 3-4 glasses (3/4 to 1 litre) of distilled water.
- Boil the water with the Coffee in it, then simmer for 15 minutes.
- Strain the Coffee to remove the sediments through a fine sieve.
- Cool the Coffee to body temperature.
- Add 1 tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar or dissolve 1/3 teaspoon of K-Salt into the strained coffee (this will help you retain the coffee enema better).
Notes: You may prepare the coffee the night before, refrigerate, and warm it to body temperature before use.
If you find it hard to retain the 4 glasses of coffee, you may prepare the coffee by using 3 heaped tbsp of the enema coffee with 3 glasses of distilled water.
If possible, have a normal bowel movement before the enema. This enema is not designed to cleanse the lower bowel as water enema does, but rather for a very special effect on the liver and the blood which is more effectively achieved if the bowels have moved and the lower colon is clear. If a normal bowel movement does not occur, then take a water enema (at body heat) to cleanse the bowel of debris and the wind before the administration of the coffee enema. The detoxification of the liver and the blood will have commenced with this procedure. The coffee released through the bowel wall (into the portal circulation which travels directly to the liver) causes the liver/gallbladder to eliminate vast amounts of toxic debris. This has an immediate effect on feelings of well-being and clear-headedness. Many people can “switch off’ a migraine or a “sick” headache and feelings of nausea and lethargy by using this method.
Benefits of Coffee Enema
Many people claim that coffee enema provides immediate relief from the symptoms of toxicity, such as congestion, indigestion, pains and headaches.
A coffee enema is preferable in the morning as the caffeine can be energizing. Your whole body began to feel much better as it’s capable of washing out those dangerous toxins.
A coffee enema is a method of cleaning and detoxifying the bowel.
History of Coffee Enema
Coffee Enema is one of Gerson therapies developed by Dr. Max Gerson about 70 years ago. Coffee enema was reputedly part of her morning routine every day.
In the 1920s, German scientists found that a caffeine solution could open the bile ducts and stimulate the production of bile in the liver of experimental animals.
Dr. Max Gerson used this clinically as part of a general detoxification regimen, first for tuberculosis, then cancer. Caffeine, he postulated, will travel up the hemorrhoidal to the portal vein and thence to the liver itself. Gerson noted some remarkable effects of this procedure. For instance, patients could dispense with all pain-killers once on the enemas. Many people have noted the paradoxical calming effect of coffee enemas.
And while coffee enemas can relieve constipation, Gerson cautioned: “Patients have to know that the coffee enemas are not given for the function of the intestine cleansing but for the stimulation of the liver”.
Coffee enemas were an established part of medical practice when Dr. Max Gerson introduced them into cancer therapy in the 1930s. Basing himself on German laboratory work, Gerson believed that caffeine could stimulate the liver and gall bladder to discharge bile. He felt this process could contribute to the health of the cancer patient.

One important aspect of the Therapy (Gerson), the key to detoxification, is the coffee enema. It works. We have unending numbers of patients who have proven its effectiveness. However, orthodox doctors do not understand the way the coffee enemas work. They ridicule or even frighten patients about their use. In one case where a (famous) patient had already achieved freedom from severe pain, his doctor actually told him, “Don’t you know that coffee enemas cause brain abscesses?” and frightened him into taking chemotherapy. More recently, we had a question about the coffee enema “stretching” the colon. Another one was about coffee enemas causing addiction and whether stopping them could cause withdrawal symptoms. And a third question came up: what is the difference between coffee enemas and drinking coffee?

Another one was about coffee enemas causing addiction and whether stopping them could cause withdrawal symptoms.
And a third question came up: what is the difference between coffee enemas and drinking coffee?
The item below was sent out in response to these three questions:
It is impossible to stretch the colon by taking coffee enemas. The only things that stretch a colon are:
a) high colonics that are pushed into the colon under pressure and use up to 5 quarts of fluid or
b) hard stools that accumulate and are not excreted which stretches the colon, causing a condition known as “megacolon”. Coffee enemas are administered without pressure and are very easy for the colon muscles to expel.
We know of two different patients who had taken coffee enemas for many years who eventually had their large intestines checked by a colonoscopy. In both cases, a different proctologist stated that “this was the most beautiful colon he had ever seen”. There was certainly no damage done. Jacquie Davison, a former melanoma patient, writes in her book about the hundreds, possibly thousands of coffee enemas she took in the course of recovery with the Gerson Therapy. At the end of her treatment after all those enemas, she reports that for the first time in her life she had normal bowel movements. She did not become addicted or dependent on the enemas.
Withdrawal hardly causes any problems, unless the patient takes 5 or more coffee enemas and stops cold turkey – but this is not the way coffee enemas are prescribed by Dr. Gerson. If you are a heavy coffee drinker and stop suddenly, you will experience withdrawal symptoms – but these can be immediately relieved with ONE coffee enema.
Coffee enemas are completely different from drinking coffee. The effects of coffee enemas have been thoroughly researched by physicians. The caffeine and other chemicals from the coffee enema open the bile ducts and allow the liver to release toxins. Drinking coffee is damaging to the stomach due to the aromatic fatty acids (which are not absorbed through the colon). Drinking coffee causes capillary and bile duct spasming and constricting – in other words, the opposite of what rectal coffee does.
Who should not do Coffee Enema
Coffee enema has been in existence for a long time and is therefore considered to be a safe procedure but it is not advisable for pregnant women or lactating mothers.
